Grout Family History Grout Genealogy from Morse Line Family History Evans Family Photos Grout DNA Braman in the Civil War Photos 1886-1974

Welcome to the Grout / Evans Family Photo Page!

My grandmother Grout was Ethel Evans and her mother was Laura Ann Evans (Milton). Until the summer of 2007, I had never seen a picture of Laura Ann and only one of Ethel in her younger years. Here is a small collection of Evans family photos. They are from photocopies of old pictures so I apologies for the quality. Perhaps I`ll have the opportunity to get good scans in the future.
Laura Hill, my father`s first cousin, sent me the photos and provided the key.

These photos are loaded here in reduced resolution. If you would like a full resolution copy I would be glad to email you one. Just Email me

More Grout Photos from 1880 to 1974 can be found here, or go to my home page for recent photos.

And... if you are a descendant of Lory or Braman Grout I would love to hear from you.

Laura Ann Evans (Milton) 1856 - 1919 This photo is perhaps 1880 ish?

Laura Ann's husband was Robert Evans, 1857 - 1925

Evans and Milton family, around 1900 by my guess. Laura Hill gave this key to the photo:

L to R, top row: Laura Evans, Robert Evans, unknown, unknown, Georgie Brown, Porter Brown, Etta Tolman, Wilmer Tolman

Center row: Martha Shaw Milton, William Milton

Bottom row: Peter Weir, Aunt Mand (Amanda), George Hamilton, Grace Hamilton.

Laura Ann and Ethel, 1910
I love this photo. Ethel has the same posture as in later pictures.

This is the only picture that has a clear date on it. Laura Hill writes that it's L to R, Ethel, Lillian, Marion, father, mother.

Ethel Evans from maybe 1910. This picture is from Laura Hill's son, Scott, who has an extensive Genealogy website.

This appears to be a formal picture of Ethel Evans, maybe 1912?

Ethel with first child Milton Lory Grout around 1915

In 1958 the Seattle Grouts made a visit to our Grandparents.

In this Picture, L to R, top row are: Alvin, Milton, unknown, Louise (wife of Milton), Unknown and Ethel.

Bottom row: Elizabeth (Louise and Milton's second daughter), unknown, Judith, (Louise and Milton's first daughter), and me, Robert, trying to escape!

Alvin and Ethel from 1960 ish.
